Choosing a Hawke J Series buggy
The J Series is the flagship of the Hawke range: one modern platform in a family of sizes. Start with seats. Two-seaters suit members, marshals and couples; four-seaters are the club and family all-rounder; six and eight seats turn a golf buggy into a guest shuttle for resorts, venues and estates.
Then choose the configuration. The +2 models add a rear-facing bench that flips flat into a load deck, so one buggy carries passengers in the morning and kit in the afternoon. The lifted versions raise the chassis on all-terrain tyres for estate tracks, grass and gravel, and the utility versions trade rear seats for a cargo box. Every J Series model runs on a lithium battery. The line also includes the Hawke C500, a two-seat utility vehicle with a drop-side bed and the one vehicle in our range with EEC type approval.

What is the difference between the standard and lifted J Series models?
The standard models sit low on turf tyres for courses, paths and paved sites. The lifted models raise the chassis and fit all-terrain tyres, which gives more ground clearance for estate tracks, grass and gravel. Tell us your ground and we will recommend the right one.
What does +2 mean on a J Series buggy?
A +2 model adds a rear-facing bench behind the forward seats. It carries two extra passengers, and it folds flat into a load deck when you need to carry kit instead, so one buggy covers both jobs.
Can a J Series buggy be used on public roads?
The J Series golf and leisure models are for private land: courses, estates, resorts, holiday parks and venues. The Hawke C500 is the one vehicle in our range with EEC type approval. Tell us how you plan to use the vehicle and we will advise honestly on what applies before you order.
