The Hawke C500 is the only EEC type approved vehicle in the J Series, so it can be registered for road use. It pairs two seats and a full-length aluminium drop-side bed with a 72 V lithium drive quoted at 70 km.

The C500 is the heavy-duty end of the J Series, and the only model in it with EEC type approval. That means it can be registered for road use, which matters when a site is split by a public lane or the work runs between properties.

It runs a 72 V system: a 6.3 kW AC motor and a 70.4 V 150 Ah lithium battery of 10.6 kWh, roughly twice the energy of the 48 V models, for a quoted 70 km of range. Charging is on board, through a 72 V 35 A charger.

Behind the two seats is a full-length aluminium bed with drop sides and a drop tailgate, and a mesh bulkhead that keeps a shifting load out of the cab. Mirrors, a windscreen wiper and LED lighting are fitted, and a tow bar with ball coupling is available.
