Sustainability Statement
Sustainability is central to what Hawke Electric Vehicles does. We design, build and support electric vehicles that replace noisier, higher-emission petrol and diesel alternatives, and we work to reduce the impact of our own operations. This statement sets out our approach in brief.
Cleaner vehicles at the core
Our vehicles are fully electric and produce no exhaust emissions at the point of use. Every buggy, people-mover and utility vehicle we supply is a chance to replace a petrol or diesel machine on an estate, course, campus or work site, cutting local emissions and noise where people live, work and visit. Helping our customers move their fleets to electric is the single largest contribution we make.
Built to last
The most sustainable vehicle is one that lasts. We build to a premium standard and back every vehicle with UK-wide servicing, genuine parts and a priority call-out, so it stays in service for years rather than being replaced early. Keeping vehicles maintained, repaired and running is a core part of how we reduce waste.
Batteries and end of life
Batteries are the most significant environmental consideration in any electric vehicle. We offer battery options matched to each customer's real use, so packs are neither oversized nor worked beyond their design, which extends their life. We handle batteries responsibly and support their recycling and safe disposal at end of life in line with the applicable regulations.
Our operations and suppliers
We aim to reduce the environmental impact of our own activities, including energy use, travel, packaging and waste, and to keep improving as we grow. We expect our suppliers and partners to act responsibly and lawfully, and we prefer to work with those who share our commitment to quality, longevity and responsible practice.
Honesty and continuous improvement
We would rather do the real work than overstate it. We do not make claims we cannot stand behind, and we treat sustainability as an ongoing responsibility rather than a finished task.
