How to choose between our electric buggies

Choosing the right model usually comes down to four questions: how many people or how much kit you need to move, how far the vehicle travels between charges, the ground it works on, and whether it has to be road-legal. The table above puts the numbers side by side. Here is how to read them.

Seats and capacity

The range runs from two seats up to eight, with utility builds that trade rear seats for a load bed. Size it for the busiest realistic trip rather than the average one. A resort moving guests at a check-in rush needs more capacity than the headcount suggests, while an estate moving one person and their tools is better served by a compact two-seater with a bed.

Range and battery

Quoted range is measured in ideal conditions. Hills, heavy loads, cold weather and stop-start driving all shorten it. If a vehicle works long shifts, look at the battery and whether it suits an overnight charge rather than the headline distance alone. We size the battery to your real daily mileage as part of any quote.

Terrain and build

A buggy that is ideal on smooth resort paths can struggle on a rough estate track, and the reverse is true too. Match the tyres, suspension and ground clearance to the surface. Because every vehicle is built to order, the same model can be specified for tarmac or for rougher ground.

Road-legal or off-road

If the vehicle needs to travel on or cross a public road, that changes the specification, so it is worth deciding early. It affects lighting, mirrors and registration. For the wider picture on running costs, read how much an electric golf buggy costs and electric versus petrol running costs.
